Privacy Policy

Steda (“we,” “us”) provides a notes, calendar, and todo product at steda.io. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Steda, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We built Steda to be minimal by design, and we try to hold ourselves to the same standard with data: we collect what the product needs to function, and nothing more.

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details from your identity provider.

Content you create. Notes, todos, and any calendar events you create directly in Steda are stored so the product can display them back to you across sessions and devices.

Calendar access. If you connect Google Calendar, we request read access to display your events inside Steda. We do not modify, create, or delete events in your calendar.

Usage data. We collect basic technical data — device type, browser, and general usage patterns — to diagnose issues and improve reliability.

To provide, maintain, and improve the Steda product.

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.

To communicate with you about your account, including service updates and security notices.

To diagnose technical problems and understand aggregate usage trends.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate Steda (such as infrastructure and email delivery), under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing services to us, or when required by law.

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your notes, todos, and cached calendar data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or security purposes.

You can access, update, or export your notes and todos at any time from within the product. You can revoke Steda's calendar access from your Google account settings, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the product before the changes take effect.
